Fulton Learning Center Principal Hired

Rockport, TX- June 9, 2021--- On Monday, June 7, 2021, the ACISD School Board approved the hiring of Valerie Arechiga as principal of Fulton Learning Center. Mrs. Arechiga brings to Fulton Learning Center a decade of educational experience as a classroom teacher, instructional teacher advisor, and administrator. During her time as an instructional leader, she has led professional development workshops, facilitated presentations in Tech2Teach, served on the Corpus Christi Supervisors and Administrator Board, participated in the Assistant Principal and Principal Leadership Group at CCISD, and mentored teachers and fellow assistant principals.


Mrs. Arechiga promotes an educational philosophy that embraces using technology and data to help students and staff thrive and achieve goals. She believes that students benefit from a campus culture that fosters learning, curiosity, cooperation, and communication. She works to create a teaching and learning environment that builds trust, inspiration, and respect. She advocates for personal development and success for all individuals who work with children.

Mrs. Arechiga earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. She is currently a doctoral candidate for the Doctor of Education program (Ed.D) in Educational Leadership program at TAMU-CC. She holds a Master of Science in Educational Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (EC-6 Generalist/ Early Childhood).
